My Work

Resume

  • I’m currently a Senior Media Planner at H&L Partners, an independent, full service creative advertising agency headquartered in Oakland, CA with offices in St. Louis, Chicago, Phoenix, Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte. Since March 2019, I’ve been fortunate enough to grow my skillset and work on brands such as Toyota, McDonald’s, AAA, Vision Service Plan, Oakland Museum of California, St. Louis Science Center, Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services and Missouri Division of Tourism. As a planner, I work directly with our clients to develop and execute media strategies and plans from start to finish alongside my rockstar colleagues and teammates. Check out some of our campaigns here to see the innovative and inspirational work I get to help promote every day.
  • As Marketing Coordinator at ACP Composites in 2017 and 2018, I spearheaded all digital marketing initiatives, which included completely redesigning their company website. I focused on user experience and refreshed branding when concepting and writing all the new website content, with the goal to improve and increase SEO, traffic and user engagement / recall. I also directed their first company video, took all new photos for the site and managed digital media including Google AdWords, social media and eCommerce.
  • In 2018, I worked as a Jr. Publicist at The GreenRoom, a PR agency in Nashville, TN with a roster of artists in the Country Music industry. With a deep interest in the entertainment business and hunger to work with talented artists, this role was a dream for me and presented the opportunity to understand the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. At The GreenRoom, I wrote press releases, planned tour press for clients, coordinated launch events and pitched headlining stories to media. My other responsibilities included website optimization, database and contact management, social media, scheduling, company finances and various administrative tasks.
  • During spring 2017, a team of students and I at UW-Madison developed a strategic marketing campaign for DEXAMAP, a local Madison business. Throughout the course of a semester, my team and I acted as account planners and brand strategists to generate key consumer insights to develop a new marketing strategy for the client. My team and I analyzed DEXAMAP’s business model, media usage and positioning, and then designed and executed secondary and primary research to find a new target consumer. With a strong, informed and new strategy for the client, we generated a creative brief and developed a detailed Catalyst Communications Casebook for our client.
  • In 2015, I created a multi-platform project project devoted to my investigation of Red Card, the off-campus meal plan in Madison, Wis. This project challenged me to connect with and learn from local businesses, understand different perspectives within a community and find out how an alumna’s dream comes to life.
  • During summer of 2016, I worked as an editorial intern for the Pleasanton Weekly. Having the opportunity to write and report on events in my beloved hometown was an exciting privilege, and I learned more about my roots than I could imagine. Please view my published online articles here and see my cover story pieces on Pleasanton’s fair and the Weekly’s 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards.
  • The same summer of 2016, I also worked as a Digital Music and Copyright Admin. Intern at Regalias Digitales, a privately-owned, Latin record and royalties agency in the Bay Area. My love for music and yearning to learn more about the inner workings of the music business were the driving forces behind my interest in this role. At Regalias Digitales, I was able to monetize and register clients’ music copyrights, conduct research to maximize artists’ royalties and assist with development of company’s social media. This role inspired me to keep seeking opportunities surrounding the arts.
  • In 2016, I collaborated with three other students to develop a mock strategic marketing campaign for Kashi. “Surge,” our fully integrated agency, collaborated as a whole, but my specific role was the media planner. View our campaign booklet to see the research, public relations, media buying and other strategic planning components of the assignment.
  • In my spare time I love to go to concerts and explore different types of music. In college, I wrote for Emmie Magazine, a student-run music magazine at UW-Madison. Check out some of my stories on Mat KearneyDrake and Vance Joy (pages 16-17).
  • I had the opportunity to be contributing editor and a writer for The Odyssey, a student-run newspaper at UW-Madison. I had the privilege of writing about a plethora of topics in 2014, including a new hotel in Madison, and why parent’s weekends were the best in college.
